Say you took your sweet time arranging the icons on the desktop. But then something happened and now they are all messed up. Nothing is where it’s supposed to be and it’s driving you mad. Sordum came up with ReIcon to address this type of situation. You see, ReIcon saves the position or layout of all the icons on your desktop. Click a button and all your icons will be restored to their original layout.

ReIcon is a portable application. This means you will not have to install it on your PC. What you need to do to get stared with ReIcon is download an archive, extract its contents, and then run the ReIcon executable.

The main panel on the application’s interface presents a list of restore points. Above it there’s a toolbar that features the following four buttons:
Restore Layout – select a restore point, click this button, and all your desktop icons will be rearranged.
Save Layout – click this button to create a restore point; the layout of all your desktop icons will be saved.
Delete Layout – select a restore point and click this button to delete it.
About – presents the About menu.

There is one more thing that must be said about the interface: it provides support for multiple languages.

There is nothing complicated about using ReIcon. Click a button and the layout for all the icons on your desktop will be saved. If the icons are moved around, click a button to return them to their original location.

ReIcon is free software. If you find value in this application, consider making a donation.

It is annoying to carefully arrange desktop icons only to have them messed up when, for example, your PC’s resolution changes. With ReIcon you can save and restore desktop icon layouts.

Pros

ReIcon is portable; you won’t have to install the application. The interface provides support for multiple languages. You will quickly figure out the interface. ReIcon is quite easy to use. ReIcon is free software (consider making a donation).

Cons

None that I could think of.
